the center of tennis in the San Diego area, the Balboa Tennis Club has
the privilege and responsibility of hosting many important tournaments
each year. Local tournaments like the Balboa Open and the Metropolitan
Championships have drawn local players for more than a half century,
while huge national tournaments like the National 3.0 League Championships
bring thousands of visitors to San Diego from all over the country.
Local
tennis tournaments are
about more than just finding the best tennis
player in the club; they are social activities with people who love
the sport of tennis.
