As the center of tennis in the San Diego area, the Balboa Tennis Club has the privilege and responsibility of hosting many important tournaments each year. Local tournaments like the Balboa Open and the Metropolitan Championships have drawn local players for more than a half century, while huge national tournaments like the National 3.0 League Championships bring thousands of visitors to San Diego from all over the country.
